Happy to report hens a laying again— with a lot of crowing over—after relocating and adjusting to the diminishing daylight. The chicklets born over the summer feature at least one rooster that is trying to crow but as yet is indistinguishable from the rest. They are working on cleaning up the gardens, stealing grain from the Guinea Hogs and digging dust bath holes in the yard. Out in the chicklet nursery the future 2017 layers are venturing outside and trying out their little wings.
