In the Gardens: Wicked nice Broccoli heads to cut in the garden – for the ultimate freshness! $3 per head or equal. Basil awaits harvest – a 20’ row in Bernadette’s Garden – pesto anyone? Fresh Parsley to cut, too! Tomatoes ripening on the vine, some are good and some are disappointing. Choose your own nice ones to buy and take some disappointments home for cooking. I have been feeding the seconds to the pigs. Our chickens & 14 wonderful, wandering chicklets also enjoy them. Beets, Green Beans and more. Sunflower and Gladiola bunches Melon Preview Cantaloupes and Heritage Watermelons growing and ripening! In the Fridge: (Besides eggs) Cucumbers abound, picked at just the right time – 3 for $2. Find older and seconds in the FREE box inside the fridge. Tender Summer Squash, yellow and green – 3 for $2

Lawnmowers and Cheery Flowers!

The boys did a great job mowing this morning! Though they are happy to do it I appreciate their efforts; Lancer the Weather Horse and Blackness or Beau as we call him.   Cheery Sunflowers and Gorgeous Glads from $1-$5 singles to bunches. Beets, Broccoli, Cukes, Green Beans, Summer Squashes (yellow & green) and finally some Tomatoes in the garden and some in the fridge. Swiss Chard & Kale (from Wilson Farm) Let me know before you come and I can pick some fresh for you! Herbs to cut for the ultimate freshness: lots of Basil, plenty of Chives, Parsley, Sage, Thyme & more Sorry no Corn this weekend, prices going whacky, pushing $7 a dozen – we pass. Our apologies to any one who came for eggs last week as we kept selling out. Look for the “eggs/no eggs” sign coming soon and if you buy the last dozen please “no eggs” the sign? There are currently two dozen left in the fridge as of Friday afternoon. Summer Garden Veggies

Happy to report our Brooding Hen’s success: 14 Chicklets!  7 each, pecking with their Moms in the yard of the 4th Little Pigs House. Summer Garden Veggies currently available: Sweet Corn on the Cob, Broccoli, Beets, Cucumbers, Lettuce, Summer Squash-Green & Yellow, Swiss Chard & Kale (from Wilson Farm) 🙁 We have just run out of ripened Tomatoes and Eggs for the day (Sunday 8/14/16)  sorry… Expecting more tomorrow! Making Pickles, Pesto, Relish?   Lots of Fresh Herbs to be cut: Basil, Chives, Dill, Garlic Chives, Horseradish (leaves and/or root), Mint, Oregano, Parsley, Sage, Thyme Gaily, Glorious Glads – to grace your place!
